Short links FAQ
Can I change where a short link goes after I share it?
Yes, on Pro and Max. Edit the destination or the slug at any time; printed QR codes and shared links follow the change. Free links can't be edited after you create them.
Do short links expire?
Links on your account keep working until you delete them. Try-it links made without an account expire after 24 hours unless you sign up in the same browser. If you move to a smaller plan, links over the new limit stay live for 30 days.
What makes a good slug?
One or two short words your audience would say out loud, in their language. Avoid look-alike characters such as l and 1 or O and 0, and keep it the same case everywhere you print it — toa.ee/Menu and toa.ee/menu are different links.
Should I use a 301 or a 302 redirect?
Use 301 (the default) for links that always point to the same page. Use 302 on Pro when you plan to change the destination often, so browsers don't remember the old one.
Do you track the people who click my links?
Not as individuals. Opening a link sets no cookies and we don't store IP addresses. To count unique visitors we use an identifier that changes every day, so a visitor can't be recognised the next day or on other sites. Read the privacy notice
